My friend Nelson Dellis, is the 4 time USA memory champion and runs a charity called Climb For memory where he raises awareness of Alzheimer’s disease by organizing climbing expeditions up some of the worlds greatest mountains. We decided why not take the show up a mountain on one of his trips, so we worked out how to strap them to our backs, got together some friends, and flew out to Kilimanjaro. Dr. Thomas Dammrich has without question been one of the most important leaders for our industry as a whole during his tenure as President of the NMMA (national marine manufacturers association). We traveled to Washington DC and after being chased by the Capital police (long story) we found a location to film this moment in time as he prepared to step down and retire. We sat down with Benedetta Moreno, the Communications Manager at Benetti Yachts, who has been involved in the marine industry her whole life. She grew up in Liguria with a family that built boats around 18 meters. This early introduction influenced her to pursue a career in the marine industry and as she says, "once your in this industry you never really leave." We met with Hank Zbierski, a first generation American who owns a company called Isotropic that specializes in communication specifically through satellites that they control. At the beginning of the new year, we sat down with Andrew High of Luxury Law Group at the Lauderdale Marine Center Open House. In January, we sat down at the LMC open house with Majesty Yachts USA, Greg Terraglio, they build yachts from 100-175 feet in the Middle East and this is the first time they brought one to the USA.
