Metropolis takes off this week with a couple of slinky Disco groovers, flashes of Motown with Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross samples to follow, giving way to a brilliant new Rhye remix, and pivoting to the dark intensity of Willaris K. and Daniel Avery before reaching cruising altitude with a new Tokimonsta remix and a clever remake of Santana’s “Oye Como Va.” Finally touching down with the epic new CamelPhat track featuring a vocal by Yannis of the band Foals. Your journey awaits!

Plenty of audio fireworks in Metropolis on an otherwise subdued July 4th weekend in quarantine, as Jason Bentley features a timely remix of The Doors “Peace Frog,” new Polo & Pan, Amtrac remixed by Durante, new Breakbot, and classics from Nina Simone and Depeche Mode.

Fresh finds from Brooklyn Producer Moon Boots, French artist Myd, electronic dub pioneer The Orb, and some Disco glitter from Yukek all make the Metropolis mix this week live from Jason Bentley’s Music Room.

Around his eclectic productions, performances, and an aptly named record label, Odd One Out, he's continued to evolve his individual style with irreverence and humor, built on a deep appreciation for dance music.

Dutch powerhouse Sander van Doorn is a generation-defining artist who has been reshaping our perception of what dance music can be. His work over the course of the past decade has been nothing short of legendary, as he continues to dabble between several sub-genres including electro house, progressive, and trance.

Amon Tobin is the enigmatic Brazilian producer behind the highly-recognized electronic albums ISAM, Foley Room and his latest release, Fear in a Handful of Dust. His blend of music production and sound design has secured his place as one of electronic music’s most fascinating pioneers, renowned for his continually evolving sound. Detroit DJ, producer and remixer MK (Marc Kinchen) has been a heavy-hitter in the dance music scene since he hit number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in both 1993 and 1994 with “Always” and “Love Changes”. Through his sound, MK gives kudos his native Detroit, which clearly influenced his creative spirit since day one.
