Eating

Dr. Denis McBrinn

This short audio presentation by Dr Denis McBrinn and narrated by Sara Dylan, is designed to bring a clear definition of what eating is, how to eat with purpose and mindfulness, and to give you an opportunity to focus and reflect on the level of eating or over-eating currently in your life. "For the first time in history more people are dying from eating too much, than too little" Thich Nhat Hanh Becoming more mindful means becoming increasingly aware of what is going on inside us and around us. This is especially important while we are eating. We are what we eat. And what we eat repeatedly, in moderation, should sustain us and provide a sound mind and healthy body If we eat healthy foods we are likely to be healthy. If we eat unhealthy foods we are likely to become unhealthy. How this short audio learning experience works: This audio presentation has been designed using an experiential learning model, Kolb, D. A. (1984): concrete learning, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. By taking this approach we hope to cater for all learning styles. You will be given specific new information in the recording usually as “key tips”, “explanations” and “quotes”. You will be led through a gentle but positive meditative reflection process to assist you before conceptualisation and then putting your new skills into practice. You will be encouraged to return to the recording from time to time to re-listen and reinforce your learning and the desired changes in your life. Enjoy! Duration - 12m. Author - Dr. Denis McBrinn. Narrator - Sara Dylan. Published Date - Thursday, 19 January 2023. Copyright - © 2021 Mindcool ©.
