En esta edición hemos seleccionado cinco ensayos que corresponden de alguna manera a una evolución existencial en el autor, mostrando sus sueños de realizarse como hombre, desde niño, en la literatura y también en la búsqueda de la verdad. ENGLISH A collection of five essays following the author’s existential evolution where he reveals the dreams he aspires to as a man and in literature in his constant search for the truth.
Yet life leads him to commit atrocious acts that go against his idealism, including killing a defenseless animal and watching on with impotence as a helpless human is taken to the gallows. He also visits a hospital, where death is an ever-present companion. In the end, he rediscovers the infinite power of nature in the figure of the humblest of creatures—a toad.
Men and beasts are easily confused because—amazingly enough—they share a common fate.
