A man has been arrested, and gardaí have launched an investigation into a fatal assault after a death occurred at a hotel in northern County Laois on Tuesday evening. The American fast-food chain Wendy’s has partnered with Corrib Oil, a service station and energy distribution provider, to serve as its franchise partner in Ireland. A woman from Laois is set to deliver a speech at COP29, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22, 2024.
