During a contentious House Judiciary Committee hearing, Attorney General Merrick Garland forcefully pushed back against accusations from congressional Republicans that the Justice Department has shown political bias in its investigations into Hunter Biden and former President Trump. The New York Times is reporting that Molly Michael, a former assistant to Donald Trump, told investigators that the former president instructed her to not tell them about the classified documents he kept at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. According to the Times, she told investigators about the comments when she was interviewed as part of the inquiry into Trump’s handling of sensitive government documents. The Times says the details are from a person briefed on her comments.
