Fifty Shades of Autumn

Lord Byron

Nature continues to give. Riots of colour, of harvest are summoned. It seems almost at will. Her palette is richer. There is a depth to everything, made deeper still by the sun beginning to hang lower in the sky, it’s light denser, glowing at dawn and at twilight, enriching everything it falls upon. Our classic poets take stock. They have seen her bounty – this act of giving – many times before. Yet, yet still it’s majesty almost refuses the salute of words. Undaunted their verse is given, connections and revelations fall upon the page. In fifty poems we take you on their inspiring journey, reflecting on the miracle of Autumn. 01 - Fifty Shades of Autumn - An Introduction 02 - Ode to Autumn by John Keats 04 - Autumn by Thomas Hood 05 - Autumn by Kahlil Gibran 06 - September by George Arnold 07 - Autumn by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow 08 - Written in September 1804 by Christian Milne 09 - A Calendar of Sonnets - September by Helen Hunt Jackson 10 - Lines Written Beneath An Elm in the Churchyard of Harrow On The Hill Sept 2nd 1807 by George Gordon Byron 11 - September by Janet Hamilton 12 - September by Carlos Wilcox 13 - Autumn Song by Dante Gabriel Rosetti 14 - Lines Written On the 6th September by Thomas Gent 15 - Late September by Amy Lowell 16 - Autumn Dawn by Charles Sorley 17 - An Autumn Sunset by Edith Wharton 18 - An Autumn Rain Scene by Thomas Hardy 19 - Autumn in Sussex by Radclyffe Hall 20 - Autumn In Cornwall by Algernon Charles Swinburne 21 - October 1915 by Dora Sigerson Shorter 22 - October by George Arnold 23 - Autumn by Anne Bradstreet 24 - October by John Payne 25 - October Musings 1866 by Janet Hamilton 26 - October by John Jay Chapman 27 - October by Paul Laurence Dunbar 28 - In Autumn by Alice Meynell 29 - Through October Fields by James Edwin Campbell 30 - Autumn, 1914 by Mary Webb 31 - North Wind in October by Robert Seymour Bridges 32 - Give Me October's Meditative Haze by Alfred Austin 33 - An October Garden by Christina Georgina Rossetti 34 - October on the Sheep Range by Arthur Chapman 35 - The Autumn by Elizabeth Barrett Browning 36 - November Song by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe 37 - The Name of it is Autumn by Emily Dickinson 38 - November by John Clare 39 - Autumn Overlooked My Knitting by Emily Dickinson 40 - A November Note by Alfred Austin 41 - To a Robin in November by William Wilfred Campbell 42 - November Findings, November 1862 by Janet Hamilton 43 - In November by Archibald Lampman 44 - November by William Cullen Bryant 45 - In Autumn Moonlight by Robert Seymour Bridges 46 - November by John Keble 47 - November by John Payne 48 - Love in Autumn by Sara Teasdale 49 - In November by Phillip Henry Savage 50 - Autumn Within by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow 51 - Autumn - A Dirge by Percy Bysshe Shelley Author - Lord Byron.
