On this episode, Jessica talks with Drewski of Cryptid Warfare Operations and Survival about their weekend adventure with the Cryptid Warfare Operations team and OPERATION GREY in the deep woods of Georgia! They explored an area of high strangeness, known for alien and UFO encounters, Bigfoots, and Dogmen, with rumors of underground bases and facilities deep within the Appalachian Mountains. Drewski is a warrior of the Almighty, whose devotion to Christ is unwavering. He understands that in this spiritual battlefield, living a life that's true to his faith is crucial. He previously served in the law enforcement field for seven years and has worked as part of SWAT for about five of those years. During his time in law enforcement, he served as a squad leader for four years and helped with tracking and escape teams to find convicts for an additional four years. In addition to his duties in law enforcement, he also worked in protective custody and escorted VIPs for four years. He even ran a security team of approximately 50 individuals for six years. But that's not all. He also has extensive experience in bushcraft and survival, with over 20 years of knowledge in this field. Just before midnight on July 19, 1952, an air-traffic controller at Washington National Airport spotted seven slow-moving objects on his radar screen far from any known civilian or military flight paths. He joked with his supervisor about a “fleet of flying saucers.” Simultaneously, two other air-traffic controllers at National spotted a strange bright light hovering in the distance that suddenly flew away at lightning speed. Radar operators at nearby Andrews Air Force Base were detecting the same unidentified blips—slow and clustered at first, then racing away at speeds exceeding 7,000 mph. The jokes stopped as the operators witnessed the objects buzz past the White House and Capitol building. Two F-94 interceptor jets were scrambled, but each time they approached the locations appearing on the radar screens, the mysterious blips would disappear. By sunrise, the objects were gone. After this event, the public and the press demanded answers. Were these unexplained radar blips, crafts that in some cases outran jets, part of a nuclear-armed Soviet invasion? This happened at the height of the "Red Scare." Were these blips UFOs driven by extraterrestrials? In January of 2016, a post on Reddit told the story of a man and his friend finding a small effigy of a strange statue in a cave in the Catskill Mountains while hiking and exploring caves. They did something that is often warned against when it comes to strange, out of place objects – they took it home. On this episode of The Cryptid Huntress Live, Jessica explores current events of high strangeness across the world and in the United States, including the reported UFO crash in Washington D.C. a group of what appear to be pale crawlers accosting a couple of men after their vehicle got stuck near a mountainside, and more! On this episode, Jessica goes "On the Hunt" with cryptid field researcher Greg Smith of Backwoods Cryptids! They discuss his boots-on-the-ground filed research in Northwest Georgia, and his encounters with Bigfoot and one of Jessica's favorites, Old Green Eyes! Old Green Eyes is a strange, otherworldly creature, half-man and half-beast. This mysterious entity wanders Chickamauga Battlefield on two legs and has long, stringy hair down to his waist. He's known for his glowing green eyes and huge jaws with two sharp fangs sticking out. The legend comes from a Native American legend from long before the Civil War. There were reports of Green Eyes wandering among the dead at Snodgrass Hill shortly after the Battle of Chickamauga. Some say he was eating the corpses of the fallen soldiers. Greg Smith grew up in the backwoods of the small Northwestern Georgia town of Chickamauga. He was raised on hunting and fishing, so he was always out in the woods. Greg developed an interest in cryptids thanks to the old TV show Unsolved Mysteries which would show the segments about unknown creatures like Bigfoot, Mothman, and other creatures which got him hooked on cryptozoology. He would watch and read anything he could find on the subject. Upon gaining access to the internet, he was opened to the world of Cryptids and by this time, there were many more shows on the subject. The show Mountain Monsters inspired Greg to begin doing his own boots-on-the-ground field research. He figured that if those men were in the woods looking for cryptids, then he could do it, too. After some years he was weaponed up and mobile and Backwoods Cryptids began. Ceres, the largest asteroid (now known as a dwarf planet), was discovered in 1801and named after the Roman goddess of harvest, Ceres. It is said to be the largest object in an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, which caused a stir in 2015 after NASA’s Dawn spacecraft sent home an image that showed two very bright spots inside a large crater on the dwarf planet. Many claim those lights could be an alien civilization residing on Ceres, while some scientists report that the lights are most likely the result of hydrated magnesium sulfates mixed with dark background material, or even highly reflective ice. The bright spots have been a source of a wide range of theories, and it has been noted that the earliest images seemed to show the spots maintaining their brightness from many viewing angles, suggesting the light's source is internal, rather than reflected.
