Kyle, Adam, and Riley discussed Giannis Antetokounmpo's return to dominant form, ask more questions which they don't yet have answers to, and ponder possible bright futures with Taurean Prince in the mix. Well... this is a bummer. Heading into the 2024-2025 season with championship aspirations, the Milwaukee Bucks have instead bumbled their way to a 2-8 start. Kyle, Jack, and Riley talk through early season observations with particular focus on what, if anything, Giannis Antetokounmpo can still give, how to never play Bobby Portis or Pat Connaughton again, and a defense that has no concrete fix in sight. In a special midweek edition of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) we were happy to be joined by the singular Kris Johnson to discuss a number of early season topics. Kris is 50% of the duo hosting Hear District (with his father, Marques Johnson, making up the other half) as part of the Bucks+ audio program network - on their weekly program they host guests from across the organization and NBA to discuss the Bucks, the league, and basketball in general. We begin his appearance with a breakdown of Bucks-Celtics and our early season encouragements and concerns. Fresh off an appearance by the current play-by-play announcer of the Milwaukee Bucks, Lisa Byington, we were delighted to have the opportunity to have her predecessor undergo the Season Preview Series treatment. Jim Paschke needs no introduction for Bucks fans regardless of how long they've been following the team. While he has stepped back from the daily grind of covering the Bucks, he continues to follow both the team and league closely. His answers to our bevy of questions about the 2024-2025 Bucks reflected that. The Season Preview Series of interviews continues on with our first discussion with a current Brew Hoop staffer, site editor Morgan Ross! We run through our standard template of questions, talk the prevalence (or lack thereof) of Damian Lillard vanity license plates in Oregon, officially kick off the latest edition of Bobby Portis's 6MOY campaign, and run through the latest edition of, "Where in the World is Morgan Ross?"

The prodigal boss returns in this second edition of Deer Diaries's Season Preview interview series. Mitchell Maurer makes another triumphant return to the podcast studio to talk through our standard list of questions to help set the table for the 2024-2025 Milwaukee Bucks season. Is he an AJ Johnson believer? Where does Khris Middleton land in his pecking order? Taurean Prince???? With Milwaukee Bucks Summer League at an end and the team more or less wrapped up with free agency, Adam and Kyle underwent a rare, "Oops, all rapid fire!" episode of the podcast.
