The Maine Event with Ryan Jarrell and Bryan Stackpole

Back with another edition of the show with some big time up-and-comers as guests on the program. Julian Marquez, fresh off a vicious knockout of Phil Hawes at DWTNCS, talks about his experience on the show, upcoming UFC debut versus Vitor Miranda in December, and his love for pop music for walk-out songs. Double Titan FC Champ Jose “Shorty” Torres also calls in to talk about his ascent up the MMA ranks and what it’s like to have a giant sized mural on a building in Chicago. He also talks about why he took so many fights as an amateur and discusses if he may be the man to take down Demetrious Johnson one day at 125. Stack and Jarrell also make their UFC 215 picks with the title belt on the line and there are a lot of differing opinions on the card. Stack and Jarrell talk about the outcome of the "Money Fight" betwenn Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. They talked about what suprised them in the fight and what happens now for each of the combatants. They also talk to rising New England lightweight Nate "The Snake" Andrews and discuss his win over Bruce Boyington. Andrews also addresses his call out by Ryan Sanders and tells why he thinks the fight doesn't make sense for him right now. New CES Heavyweight champion Juliano Coutinho talks about his win over Ashley Gooch and what's next for the 39 year old fighter in the cage. He also dishes on his unique "banana" nickname.

On the day of the big McGregor/Mayweather fight, the guys break down the bout and hear thoughts from Marcus Davis, Din Thomas, and Buster Douglas before making their predictions. They also talk with Mike Rodriguez who just inked a UFC deal after winning on the Tuesday Night Contender series with a flying knee. He also gives us a big piece of info on Snoop Dogg. Manny Bermudez also talks about his latest win for Cage Titans and discusses how close he feels he is to that next level with the UFC.

Another edition of the show here as we inch closer to the mega-fight of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather at the end of the month. The guys talk about the sparring video and if that makes this fight any more appealing. Karl Roberson, fresh off a win at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, joined the show to talk about his win and upcoming bout in the UFC. They also speak with Young's MMA fighter and NEF Amatuer Lightweight Champion Pat Kelly about stepping into the MMA game later in life and what his future holds.

The show is back and this time they feature two fighters including UFC Fight Night 114 winner Jordan Rinaldi who discusses his victory and his faith, while they also chat with Roger Ewer who picked up a win in his debut back at NEF 30. The guys also talk about a potentially loaded UFC 217 card and which one of the potential title fights they're most looking forward to.

Right in the aftermath of the NEF 30 fights in Bangor, ME, Ryan and Stack talk to some of the fighters from the card and discuss what occurred. Angela Young talks about her decision to retire from competing in the cage and the tough loss she had versus Jessica Borga. Bruce Boyington was in the house for the fights and previewed his match-up versus Nate Andrews at the next CES card. Aaron Lacey goes in-depth into his heartbreaking news about having his fight scrapped just hours before his scheduled fight. The guys caught up with CJ Ewer in his show debut after he won his title fight versus Mike Hansen in the main event. They also talk to Walt Shea and Fred Lear to discuss the fight of the night for the bantamweight title in the NEF.

In the aftermath of the huge UFC 214 card, Ryan gets to gloat for a 4-1 performance of picking the main card of the event and retaining his prediction title belt. Din Thomas returns to the show to talk about one of his gym's best fighters in Tyron Woodley and discusses why he gets so much hate from UFC brass for defending the title in his style. Light heavyweight title contender Volkan Ozedemit joins the show to talk about his quick knockout versus Jimi Manuwa and why he wants to fight Alexander Gustafsson in his next fight for the UFC. He also talks about Manuwa not taking his chocolates and instead eating a knockout. Drew Dober kicked off UFC 214 with a knockout and discusses that with the guys. Bryan Goldsby joins the program and talks about his second NEF appearance on the show and dishes on how he'll try to stop the talented Aaron Lacey on August 5th. The guys talk about UFC 213 and the interim champ Robert Whitaker's performance last week. They also speak about the Mayweather/McGregor World Tour and discuss the sideshow. Trevin Giles joined the show to talk about his career and big win at the PPV card last week. Charles Byrd talks about fighting on the new UFC Contender Series and meeting Snoop Dogg. Tony Martin talks about his recent UFC win and being in Vegas with training partner Rob Font.

The summer of MMA continues and the Maine Event is joined this time around by two highly sought after fighters. Kurt Holobaugh joined the show to talk about his fight versus Matt Bessette on UFC's Tuesday Night Contender Series in the main event of the debut show. Logan Storley also joined the program to talk about his career and why he chose Bellator over the UFC.

Another big midweek episode with two well-known names in the MMA world. First the Maine Event is joined by Chris Luttrell, the coach of Claudia Gadelha, as he talks about his roots in MMA, his work as a police officer in New Mexico, and what the future holds for the strawweight contender. Pat Casey also talked about his impressive climb in the amateur ranks and taking home championships in multiple weight classes. Casey also spoke on what the future could hold for him in his MMA future. Ryan and Stack also talk UFC 213 and make predictions to see who will claim the Maine Event title this time!

The guys focus on the fight between Eryk Anders and Brendan Allen and talk with both combatants. We talk with the coaches of the two combatants for the co-main event for the UFC Fight Night 112 in OKC. Marcus Davis rejoined the show again to talk about Boetsch camp and what he's been up to since leaving the state of Maine last year. Steven Wright, striking coach of Johny Hendricks, also came on the show after his recent trip in Sweden and talked about his career, Hendrick's gameplan versus Boetsch, and which Steven Wright is the best.

On the next edition of the Maine Event, Ryan and Stack talk with Tim "The Barbarian" Boetsch and Brent Primus about their big-time upcoming outs. Boetsch spoke about fighting at MSG to close of 2016 and what his training has been like in the lead up to this highly anticipated bout vs Johnny Hendricks. Brent Primus joined the show to talk about his big title foght opportunity against Michael Chandler at MSG in June and talked some trash about Derek Anderson after he was called out by the fighter.
