For over 25 years, Dunkirk-Fredonia residents have been starting their day with the Dan Palmer morning show on WDOE 1410. Chances are, you probably know Dan personally. Dan grew up right here in Dunkirk and started his radio career in Fredonia in 1970. In 1975, Dan joined the WDOE 1410 team as mid-day music host and announced color commentary for high school Football and Basketball games broadcast on WDOE. On April 1, 1976, Dan made the jump to the morning wake up show on WDOE 1410 and was promoted to Sports Director, two positions he holds to this day. You can listen to Dan's sportscasts 5 times each weekday morning between 6 and 9 on WDOE AM 1410. Of course, you can still find Dan announcing various ballgames as well, it's his first love.
