Nightwatch, broadcast from 1954 to 1955, was the first show that featured real-life police officers of Culver City, California, on the job. Created and hosted by Donn Reed, the show included everything from sanitarium escapees to burglars to attempted murder. Reed rode along with police officers as they performed their jobs.
