96.3 Capital FM. 70s 80s AND MORE I was lucky enough to grow up in Victoria in the 70’s…a beautiful garden city with lots of beaches and mountains, lakes and rivers…perfect for outdoor exploring. I spent hours and hours outdoors. I remember hearing “Octopus’s Garden” by the Beatles on the Sonny and Cher show and the next day went out to buy my first album…”Abbey Road” (still have it). My life long love affair with music had begun…my first concert was Supertramp, the opening act was Donovan! What an experience. My Grandpa was a dairy farmer so I often helped milking and learned a lot of hard work ethics. My after school job was a parking lot attendant and in the summers of high school I ran a beach-side burger shack. All the lifeguards would come to my spot because I made the best burgers! That was a great way to learn to talk to people. I’m now a single father of two boys, love to play pond hockey and ski in the winter. Summertime passions include golf and motorcycles. I’m also pretty handy and enjoy home reno’s and projects.
