mvyradio was proud to be a part of George Wein's Folk Festival 50 in Newport, Rhode Island, from July 31-August 2, 2009 to bring all the excitement of this annual event to listeners around the world.

In 2008, mvyradio On the Road decided to invite some of the 2008 Newport Folk Festival artists to a house where they stay, fire up the grill, turn on the recorder and see what happens.
