Horangi Heartbreak in AFC Champions League Semifinals + K League Round 8 Recap

Another live-recording of The K League United Podcast sees our usual hosts give their full-time reactions to Ulsan Hyundai's AFC Champions League heartbreak at the hands of Yokohama F. Marinos before moving on to review all the best action from K League Round 8. After taking a narrow lead at the Munsu Stadium, Ulsan Hyundai made the short trip to Japan midweek to take on Yokohama F. Marinos for a place in the AFC Champions League Final. What followed was 120 minutes enthralling football that ultimately saw the Horangi exit the competition via penalty shootout. Matthew Binns, Paul Neat and Andrew Farrell give their thoughts on the encounter shortly after the final whistle and what this means going forward for Hong Myung-bo's men. We then turn our attention to the AFC Champions League quarterfinals after Ulsan Hyundai defeated Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. K League fans descended on the capital last Sunday as Jesse Lingard look to make his FC Seoul home debut in a GyeongIn Derby against Incheon United while, on the other side of the river, Seoul E-Land played host to Suwon Samsung Bluewings. Matthew Binns, Paul Neat and Andrew Farrell return in the first live recording of the year, initially turning their attentions to Mokdong to discuss the headline act in the K League 2 being the Bluewings trip to the Leopards, with Seoul E-Land winning in dramatic circumstances to propel themselves to the top of the division.
