382: This World Needs to Take a STOP

9/3/2024
This week's episode of the "You Can Handle Anything" podcast will be different. After the heart-wrenching news of the execution of six hostages in Israel, including Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a friend of friends, I found myself deeply affected. In light of this, I invite you to join me in taking a moment to pause—a stop that feels necessary right now, not just for me but perhaps for many of us. 🌍 In this episode, I share some music I've recently created, intended to accompany our moment of reflection. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to reconnecting with you next week. www.shiragura.com

381: Living from Possibility

8/27/2024
In this episode, I talk about living from possibility. Living from possibility means envisioning a better reality and actively shaping interactions to be more positive. It's about seeing past the cycle of negative experiences and using proactive communication to transform relationships. Embracing this approach can lead to more fulfilling connections, helping you move from conflict to harmony with confidence and ease. www.shiragura.com

380: Getting Stuck and Feeling Shame

8/20/2024
In this podcast episode, I explore the common yet often unspoken issue of shame that many people feel when confronting negative emotions, getting emotionally stuck, or facing relationship problems. It's incredibly normal to feel embarrassed about needing tools to manage one's emotional health, but this shame is truly unnecessary. Once individuals join a supportive community, they quickly realize that everyone faces similar challenges, and there is great power and relief in shared experiences. By acknowledging and accepting these feelings openly, members can move past shame and work towards genuine improvement and empowerment together. This collective journey highlights the universality of emotional struggles and the benefits of facing them head-on. Learn more: www.shiragura.com

379: Use the Tool - It Works When You Use It!

8/13/2024
Have you ever signed up for a gym membership full of enthusiasm, only to see it go unused? That’s exactly what sometimes happens when it comes to using The unSTUCK Method. We know it's there, we know it can help us, we know it's within our reach and yet, we sometimes forget to use it. In this week’s "You Can Handle Anything!" podcast, I explain why embracing The unSTUCK Method in your daily life is essential for making real changes in how you respond to life’s emotional challenges. It's not just about knowing the steps, it's about actually applying them to your life. Every emotional situation is unique, and using the method consistently helps you navigate these effectively. This is a short episode in a 5-week series I created this month that came out of a recent conversation I had with a woman named Lisa. www.shiragura.com

378: Language and Your Well-Being

8/6/2024
In this podcast episode, I discuss the significant role of language in managing emotions and enhancing well-being. The term "stuck" is pivotal in my approach; recognizing when you're "stuck" on an emotion is crucial because it signals that there's a method to help you move forward. I encourage rephrasing emotional states, such as changing "I'm angry" to "I'm stuck on anger," to remind ourselves that emotions are temporary states we can navigate through. The ability to articulate feelings accurately not only helps in identifying emotions but also in adopting new perspectives to shift them. This mastery of language and its application in everyday life, as shared through personal and family experiences, underscores how powerful and transformative clear communication can be in resolving emotional challenges. www.shiragura.com

377: Taking Personal Responsibility

7/30/2024
This podcast focuses on the importance of taking personal responsibility, especially when feeling emotionally stuck. Often, the instinct is to blame others for our feelings, but this approach means we're not fully owning our part. Taking personal responsibility involves acknowledging, owning, and processing our own thoughts and emotions. By doing so, we reduce blame and better understand the true sources of our suffering, rather than projecting responsibility onto others. If more people embraced this mindset, it could lead to significant improvements in personal well-being and interpersonal relationships across the globe. 376: The Brat Pack and Andrew McCarthy

7/16/2024
This week's "You Can Handle Anything" is going to be slightly different than usual. Instead of sharing one of my stories, I'm going to share with you someone else's. And that "someone else" is the actor, Andrew McCarthy. I'm going to dive into the intriguing story of Andrew McCarthy and the infamous "Brat Pack" label that shaped his career. The film captures his journey as he revisits old friends and questions whether the label or his reaction to it caused more harm. It’s a powerful example of how external labels can trap us, and what it takes to break free and reclaim our identity. Click here to tune in and perhaps consider labels in your own life and the impact they've had on you. If you’re in the Unstuck Revolution and have thoughts on the documentary, I’d love to hear them! Let’s discuss how we can apply these insights to our own paths to becoming unstuck. https://courses.shiragura.com/the-unstuck-revolution/

375: Release the Guilt

7/9/2024
In this episode of "You Can Handle Anything," I explore the heavy and often sneaky nature of guilt, sharing a personal story from a recent family dinner. After deciding not to partake in desserts my mom made, I was unexpectedly overwhelmed by guilt, despite making a simple, healthy choice for myself. Guilt is a complex emotion that can quickly transform into self-resentment, reminding us that we're often our own harshest critics. During the podcast, I discuss how emotions are essentially energy in motion and how they can change, sometimes needing guidance to move in a constructive direction. I'll walk you through the specific steps of The unSTUCK Method that I used to navigate and transform my feelings of guilt. This method not only helped me understand my emotions but also taught me how to handle them effectively without letting them control me. Tune in to learn how to manage and transform guilt, and discover that you can handle anything life throws your way. www.shiragura.com

374: Consider Agreeing to Disagree

7/2/2024
Have you ever felt incredibly strongly about something, only to find yourself talking to someone who sees things the exact opposite way? Or maybe they just can’t see your side at all? It’s beyond frustrating. You might argue back and forth, but no matter what you say, they don’t budge. It feels like you’re the only one suffering, but it’s likely tough for them, too. This is what unfolded for me last week with one of my kids, following up on last week's podcast episode where we clashed over something I found quite unethical. I turned to The unSTUCK Method to escape that frustrating deadlock because clinging to being right was getting us nowhere. In this week’s "You Can Handle Anything" podcast, I dive into exactly what I did and the new perspectives I embraced to resolve this conflict. Because ultimately, we may not control the obstacles in our lives, but we can master our responses to them. www.shiragura.com

373: Consider Asking Permission to Share

6/25/2024
Ever felt stuck on how to respond when someone close does something you disagree with? Reacting impulsively can damage relationships and make you regret your actions, while staying silent might leave you feeling like a doormat. Here's a tip: try asking for permission to share your feelings. It’s a respectful way to communicate without overstepping, and if they’re not open to it, you need to respect their choice. I faced a similar dilemma with my son recently. He sent a video from California that I found disappointing and unethical. Conflicted about how to respond, I used the unSTUCK Method. 372: Release Regret

6/19/2024
Ever wake up feeling weighed down by regret over something you did yesterday? 😞 It's a heavy feeling, and it can linger all day—or even longer. This hit me hard after a recent Father's Day celebration. We planned to spend the day with extended family, about 3 hours from my parents' house. I decided to go, even though it meant rescheduling a regular Zoom coaching call. All was well until things ran late, and I had to leave early to make it home in time for my call. That's when the guilt kicked in, quickly turning into regret. I kept thinking, I shouldn’t have gone. And believing it too. Repeating that story only kept me stuck in a loop of regret, which was no help at all. So, I turned to The unSTUCK Method to break free. 🔄 I share the whole journey on this week's podcast episode. In this episode, I discuss the importance of morning routines and how they transform my day. I share how my morning starts with peace and quiet, using practices like breathwork, yoga, and my essential "Getting Unstuck" worksheet. This routine isn't just about starting the day; it's about clearing out leftover emotions and setting a positive tone. 369: Rulebooks

5/29/2024
In this episode of "You Can Handle Anything," I delve into one of the most common but overlooked issues in relationships: the "rulebooks" we create for others. These are the expectations we set about how people should act, speak, and behave—like putting away shoes or doing dishes. Often, the other person is unaware of these rules, leading to frustration and resentment when they don't comply. Discover how recognizing and potentially letting go of these rulebooks can transform your relationships, preventing unnecessary conflict and fostering better understanding. 368: Evolutionary Goals

5/21/2024
Ever catch yourself thinking, "I wish I could..." or "I wish I had..."? 🤔 Those aren't just daydreams; they're powerful desires pointing you toward your destiny. Most of us try to chase these dreams by setting goals. But here's the tough truth: most people don't achieve them. Why? Well, I want to share two big reasons: They get hyper-focused on the end result, instead of falling in love with the process and the identity shift that occurs along the way. 💫When emotional roadblocks pop up, they give up instead of pushing through. 😢 It's a real shame, because it doesn’t have to be this way. I firmly believe you can achieve your goals because you are the creator of your life experiences. But you need the right approach: Create evolutionary goals that transform you.Plan your journey thoughtfully.Be emotionally equipped to avoid self-sabotage. Want to know more?
