The final instalment from my monthly summer residency, playing outside in the sunshine at Beach Street Felixstowe, Suffolk. Playing mostly #vinyl this month, along with some other formats too to mix things up a bit, and bringing in a special guest or 2 every month to share some tunes too. This month it's the return of a good friend and fellow vinyl nut Bobby Bucys (one of the driving forces behind a soon to be launched online radio station Transient Radio), and a long time friend, radio colleague and lover of soul music NCK Nick Challenger Kabay (ICRFM.CO.UK Station Manager) We played #disco #jazzfunk #pianohouse #soulmusic and threw in some RnB, Gospel and even a bit of reggae towards the end. "The Soul Explosion" is all about sharing the tunes and the music that I love with a wider audience. The aim is to cover a wide range of musical genres, from soul, boogie, modern soul, northern soul, rare groove, jazz, funk, soulful garage, gospel, jazz-funk, old skool hip-hop, motown, disco and everything in between. Whatever you hear on "The Soul Explosion" has one thing in common - every single track is a CHOOON (no fillers) !! Hope you enjoy listening as much as I will playing for you
