Green picks the G-League, GarPax is no more and more

4/16/2020
Welcome back! In this week's episode, Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don break down the latest happenings in the basketball world. The H.O.R.S.E. tournament happened, and while it wasn't quite up to the level of playoff basketball, we'll take anything when it comes to basketball content. (02:30) Yes, the Chicago Bulls finally let go of general manager, Gar Forman. Dalton and Andy discuss the outlook of the Bulls after these front office changes. (06:33) Elsewhere in the land of talented duos, it was reported that the relationship between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert was “broken.” (21:05) In a bit of a stunner, potential No. 1 20201 NBA Draft pick, Jalen Green, announced he would forgo college and go straight to the G-League and perhaps pick up a $500,000 contract. (23:40) Finally, dear listeners, this will be our last podcast for a while, our “load management” phase while we learn more about the NBA season’s future. We appreciate all of you listening while the NBA was on hiatus! H-O-R-S-E is coming — and are the Bulls actually doing something right?

4/9/2020
Welcome back! In this week's episode, Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don break down the latest happenings in the NBA and fantasy world. The latest update on the season is no update, as Adam Silver doesn’t expect any decisions to be made about the season until at least May 1. (00:30) But that doesn’t mean the NBA has no plans for content. There’s a H-O-R-S-E tournament in the works! Chris Paul, Trae Young, and Zach LaVine are confirmed to be a part of it along with WNBA players Allie Quigley, Tamika Catchings and NBA alumni like Paul Pierce. The Hall of Fame class of 2020 was announced, and for whatever reason, this has become a popular question in the basketball world: Would you rather have had Kobe Bryant's playing career or Tim Duncan's? (13:55) Elsewhere in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls seem to be legitimately shaking up its basketball ops, hiring Denver GM, Arturas Karnisovas. It's unclear if Spencer Dinwiddie was taken seriously as a candidate, but his multi-tweet plan to rebuild the team is actually … not bad? (22:11) And if you're missing fantasy sports as much as we are, Dalton has FINALLY released his League of Legends review, an exhaustive five-part series eclipsing 10,000 words. You can check out Parts 1-4 here, with Part Five going live on Friday! (29:54) If you need more sports content in your lives, Andy will be joining our very new “Boxed In” podcast where he will have the pleasure of trashing Hoosiers. NBA updates, 'The Last Dance,' and Michael Jordan, college GOAT?

4/2/2020
Welcome back! In this week's episode, Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don break down the latest happenings in the basketball world. The NBA is continuing to maneuver around and through the current situation with Mark Cuban backing off a bit on his previous comments about a June return to action, and with Austin Rivers providing an idea on how it could return. (02:30) Elsewhere in the NBA world, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers players are officially symptom-free, while ESPN has been sharing a lot of Michael Jordan news of late. First up, Jordan won ESPN’s College Basketball GOAT bracket. No shade to Jordan, but we might need to organize a Lew Alcindor highlight watch party. (10:15) In a move widely applauded by sports-craving fans everywhere, ESPN announced they’d be releasing “The Last Dance” later this month, ahead of its original release date. The 10-part documentary focuses on Michael Jordan’s 1997-98 title-winning season, his last with the Chicago Bulls. (16:54) And Andy shares his thoughts on the 1988 NBA All-Star Game in Chicago, a low-key classic headlined by Jordan, but also features an All-Star appearance by Danny Ainge who came ready to shoot! (37:45) If you need more fantasy sports content in your lives, Yahoo Fantasy Football is still going strong. We’re doing a series this month on the players you need to know in the NFL draft. Early look at 2020 fantasy drafts & Andy joins the League of Leagues

3/26/2020
Welcome back! In this week's episode, Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don break down the latest happenings in the NBA and fantasy world. Andy took part in his first League of Leagues draft this past weekend. It’s a three-sport fantasy league that combines the NBA, NFL, and MLB. The draft lasted 51 ROUNDS — which equates to a bit over 10 hours! Fantasy — an endurance sport. (05:25) And some ICYMI for this week: Mark Cuban says his hope is for the season to return before June. And if you need more basketball content in your lives, check out Yahoo’s Posted Up Podcast. Chris Haynes recently chatted with Quinn Cook and Collin Sexton about how they’re handling isolation. Let's give out some awards!

3/19/2020
Welcome back! In this week's episode, Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don break down the latest happenings in the NBA and fantasy world. In last Monday’s episode, we discussed some updates to the NBA and fantasy basketball as a whole. The league is still hopeful for a mid or late-summer return. Unfortunately, four Nets players tested positive for the coronavirus, including Kevin Durant. (04:44) Commissioner Adam Silver spoke with ESPN about some of his ideas, including a possible charity game to start the season. He also spoke of altering the schedules of the rest of the season as well as the playoff schedule. This also includes potentially starting next year’s season this December. (06:10) Our experts are joined in this episode by RotoWire’s Nick Whalen, and together they hand out some fantasy basketball awards! (11:30) These include Fantasy MVP: your nominees are James Harden, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, or Anthony Davis. (17:07) And we’ll discuss Fantasy Sleeper of the Year: your choices are Spencer Dinwiddie, Brandon Ingram, Domantas Sabonis, Hassan Whiteside, or Andrew Wiggins. (28:15) If you disagree with our picks, you can vote on these awards as well. Go here for full details! We’ll hand out some fake awards too, like fantasy bust of the year. Apologies to Mitchell Robinson, De’Aaron Fox, and Draymond Green. (48:53) We know these are tough times — how are you keeping busy without the NBA or fantasy basketball? Let us know! Steph Curry is really back this time, for real

3/5/2020
Welcome back! Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are here to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five: 1) Another week, another targeted Steph Curry return. He will play tonight … we think. Meanwhile, Warriors wing Andrew Wiggins continues his renaissance season. (03:54) 2) Zion Williamson played his first back-to-back and put up 21 points. He’s scored 20+ in 13 straight. Is it enough to enter the ROY race? (09:37) 3) The Boston Celtics are dealing with injuries on injuries. Kemba, Brown & Hayward were all out last night; Celtics still beat Cleveland. Are there any pickups that can help your fantasy team until they return? (14:08) 4) Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen finally returned from injury and scored 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting with four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes, and rookie Coby White continues to put up massive lines. (18:09) 5) Damian Lillard ALSO returned from injury and he’s expected to play in a back to back on Friday/Saturday. We check in on other Blazers breakouts like Hassan Whiteside and Carmelo Anthony. (24:15) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Hide your hoops — Steph Curry is coming

2/27/2020
Welcome back! Andy Behrens is also back, and he rejoins Dalton Del Don to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five: 1) Joel Embiid will miss tonight's game against the Knicks with a shoulder injury and could miss more time. Uh-oh! Is Al Horford is relevant again? (04:56) 2) It gets even worse for Philadelphia as Ben Simmons is dealing with a nerve impingement in his back. He'll be re-evaluated in two weeks, we'll look at whether guys like Shake Milton and Furkan Korkmaz can fill the void. (08:16) 3) LeBron James is dealing with a groin malfunction and will miss tonight's game against the Warriors. Rajon Rondo and Alex Caruso might be worth using in daily leagues or DFS in the short-term but Dalton doesn't expect the injury to impact his availability after tonight's game -- feel free to send us hate mail if we jinxed it. (13:58) 4) Steph Curry is set to return from his hand injury on Sunday. Ky Bowman and Damion Lee will see their minutes drop, but more importantly, how will this affect franchise player Andrew Wiggins? We'll also check in on waiver-wire steal Marquese Chriss. (18:42) 5) Andy explains why if he was starting a franchise tomorrow, he would take Bulls rookie Coby White over everybody. Hyperbole aside he's had 3 straight games over 30 points off the bench, but the eventual returns of Lauri Markkanen and Otto Porter, Jr. are a concern. (23:33) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Following the Starting Five, Andy and Dalton discuss pickups of the week like Minnesota's Naz Reid, Harry Giles in Sacramento with Holmes and Bagley hurt, and Gorgui Dieng in Memphis. And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Rotoworld's Ryan Knaus wrote about team schedules for the fantasy playoffs, Kawhi Leonard wore his own jersey while on vacation, Ben Gordon wrote a piece in The Players Tribune on dealing with manic-depression and suicide, and Kevin Pelton of ESPN broke down the numbers behind Kristaps Porzingis in the post. Kyrie heads to surgery and post-All Star Game advice

2/20/2020
Welcome back! While Andy Behrens is on vacation, Dalton Del Don and Basketball Monster’s Josh Lloyd to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five: 1) Kyrie Irving aggravated his shoulder injury and is expected to undergo surgery, which will knock him out for the rest of the year. We look at what to expect from Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, and other players who look to gain value on the Brooklyn Nets. (02:41) 2) Karl-Anthony Towns is seeking a ‘second opinion’ on his left wrist. That ... is not good news. Is it time to worry about Towns missing the rest of the season? And in the meantime, will Naz Reid and James Johnson be worth a pickup? (07:21) 3) The deep get deeper, Reggie Jackson is reportedly joining the Los Angeles Clippers. We look at who will pick up minutes in Detroit and who will lose minutes in Los Angeles. (10:22) 4) Clint Capela is expected to be out for "weeks" with plantar fasciitis, which means Dewayne Dedmon moves into must-own territory. (13:33) 5) If you play on Yahoo, you might notice that Robert Covington is now center-eligible. While the Rockets are putting the “extreme” in extreme-small-ball, we look at why RoCo could be a top-25 player the rest of the year. (14:25) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Following the Starting Five, Dalton and Josh discuss second-half projections, the fallout of the Cavaliers’ coaching change, and new Warrior, Andrew Wiggins. Next up, they share some waiver wire pickups to consider, including Malik Monk, Coby White, Seth Curry, and Jae Crowder. (18:00) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Kevin Garnett joined the All The Smoke podcast and gave his take on the best trash talkers in the NBA, and how he almost joined the Los Angeles Lakers. Injuries to Dame and KAT, early trade returns, and All-Star Weekend predictions

2/13/2020
Welcome back! Dalton Del Don and Andy Behrens are here to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. The guys kick things off by asking why Vince Carter didn’t get the same All-Star love Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade received? (3:28) They continue with their Starting Five: (5:39) 1) INJURIES! Damian Lillard (groin) initially backed out of all-star festivities and headed for an MRI. Lillard is averaging 29.5 PPG, 7.0 APG, 3.9 threes. POR is 5 games behind MEM in the loss column. 2) Karl-Anthony Towns has a left wrist injury of unknown severity, also headed for an MRI. Who can we trust in any potential KAT absence? Naz Reid? Juancho Hernangomez? James Johnson, anyone? 3) Kevin Love (sore Achilles) missed CLE’s final game before ASB, which led to big games for both Larry Nance (23-12) and Tristan Thompson (27-11) 4) Steph Curry ramped up to “5-on-0” court work, so, is he looking good for March 1? How will he adjust to the fact that GS is now clearly Andrew Wiggins’ team? (Related: Should we take Marquese Chriss seriously?) 5) Let’s check in with the new-look Sixers: Al Horford to the bench. Furkan Korkmaz couldn’t miss in back-to-back games, then busted as a starter. Following their Starting Five, Andy and Dalton look at the early fantasy returns from those big trade deadline swaps, including Houston’s very-small-ball experiment. They also give their predictions for All-Star Weekend’s festivities. (21:20) We wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Scott Powers’ must-read oral history of Kevin Garnett’s one season in the Chicago Public League, and Kelly Dwyer on the old-timer’s game at all-star weekend. Remembering Kobe and the return of Victor Oladipo

1/30/2020
Welcome back! Dalton Del Don is joined by Josh Lloyd from Yahoo Sport Australia and Basketball Monster to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. But before we get started with fantasy basketball news, we'll take a second to remember Kobe Bryant. Our thoughts go out to all of the families that are dealing with the loss of loved ones. For those of you that play on Yahoo, you might have seen that Kobe Bryant was added to the player pool (and has already been added by more than 40,000 teams). Guy Lake, Product Lead for Yahoo Fantasy, talks about where they got the idea. (00:50) In this week’s Starting Five, they run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) Victor Oladipo returns! But that's bad news for teams with Aaron Holiday who's falling out of the rotation. (07:46) 2) Dalton and Josh explain why despite a one-game suspension, Elfrid Payton should be owned in all leagues. (09:55) 3) Is it time to drop Mike Conley? (12:01) 4) DeMar DeRozan is starting to heat up, can he maintain early-round value while eschewing three-pointers? (13:15) 5) Early thoughts on Zion Williamson's value so far season and his effect on (All-Star!) Brandon Ingram (17:28) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Next up, Dalton and Josh discuss whether they're buying low on players like Steven Adams, Jamaal Murray, Kristaps Porzingis and Myles Turner (19:55), and predict the value of waiver wire pickups Marquese Chriss, Christian Wood, Trevor Ariza, Reggie Jackson, and Jerami Grant (27:16). And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. At long last, Zion has arrived

1/23/2020
Welcome back! Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are here to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson finally returned and while his minutes were limited, he showed off the limitless potential that led to a 3rd round ADP during fantasy drafts. Should you consider cashing in on the hype and selling high? (05:39) 2) With Blake Griffin shutting it down for the year in Detroit, rumors of a Derrick Rose trade are starting to pick up. Andy and Dalton discuss how a potential move to the Los Angeles Lakers or Philadelphia 76ers would impact the former MVP. (12:19) 3) Trade SZN is slowly picking up in the NBA, Trevor Ariza and Kent Bazemore swapped teams while Portland cut about $12 million from their payroll with the move. (16:13) 4) Portland center and last season breakout Jusuf Nurkic recently returned to practice. A few episodes ago, we said Hassan Whiteside’s fantasy managers didn’t need to worry about a Nurkic return. Dalton explains why he still feels that way. (18:04) 5) Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. was taking advantage of minutes in Denver with Jamal Murray (ankle), Gary Harris (groin) and Paul Millsap (knee) all out, but now, the former touted prospect is dealing with an injury of his own. (21:37) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Zion's debut, the Teague trade, and waiting for Embiid

1/16/2020
Welcome back! Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are here to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson is scheduled to make his debut next Wednesday, 1/22. Andy and Dalton explain why his return won’t hurt the value of teammates Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. (01:48) 2) Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray left Wednesday night’s game with a worrisome ankle injury. If Monte Morris is no longer available in your leagues, how about picking up former highly touted prospect, Michael Porter Jr.? (07:38) 3) We have a trade! The Minnesota Timberwolves sent Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham to Atlanta for Allen Crabbe of the Atlanta Hawks. It’s not quite the Kevin Love or Andre Drummond blockbuster we’re waiting for, but Jarrett Culver owners might have hit the jackpot. (09:42) 4) Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Darius Garland is heating up. He’s returned top-40 value in 8-cat formats in the last two weeks — and it looks sustainable. (12:00) 5) Joel Embiid continues to miss games with a hand injury, but Al Horford has finally been able to put up solid value in his absence. (14:18) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Trade speculation for some big names, injury updates, and more

1/9/2020
Happy New Year! Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) You’ll never believe this, but Anthony Davis is moderately injured. He took a nasty fall on Tuesday, but escaped with just a bruise and is questionable to play in his next game. Is Dwight Howard worth an add to your fantasy team? (01:31) 2) Blake Griffin had surgery on his knee and there is no timetable yet — what’s the fallout? Do we assume Blake is done for the year? Also, it's probably your last chance to join the Sekou Doumbouya hype train! (04:59) 3) Hassan Whiteside is ranked the number *3* player in 9-cat fantasy over the past 30 days, and number 9 on the season. He has double-doubles in 17 of 18 games, went 20-20 last week. He leads NBA in blocks (2.9). Is he a sell-high or hold? (07:40) 4) Last week, we said we were optimistic about Jonathan Isaac's injury and we were very, very wrong. A bone bruise in his knee means we’re still 7-8 weeks away from him being reevaluated. RIP, Dalton’s fantasy teams. What is the likelihood Isaac’s fantasy season is over? (13:16) 5) Victor Oladipo has an ETA of 1/29, for a critical division game against Andy's Chicago Bulls. Malcom Brogdon and Aaron Holiday are likely to lose playing time once the All-Star is back. (15:18) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Next up, Dalton and Andy are joined by ESPN’s Andre Snellings. They talk trade speculation, like what's the likelihood that Andre Drummond, Kevin Love, and/or Chris Paul are dealt, and where is Andre’s ideal landing spot for each? They also discuss the best fantasy roster stashes for the second half, as well as the biggest surprises — good and bad — halfway through the season. (19:30) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Chris Haynes with Steve Kerr on the Posted Up Podcast. Kerr expects Steph Curry back around March. Is that enough time to make a stash worth it? They also discuss Darnell Mayberry’s interview with Craig Hodges in the Athletic. Everyone is questionable, a decade in review and remembering David Stern

1/2/2020
Happy New Year! Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in the first 2020 episode of the fantasy basketball podcast. First up, Andy and Dalton discuss the legacy of David Stern and his 30-year career as NBA commissioner. (03:30) And in this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) Minnesota Timberwolves Center Karl-Anthony Towns, who entered the season having missed five games in his *entire* career, has now missed eight straight games. He’s reportedly ramping up on-court work but according to Ethan Strauss of The Athletic, he’s unhappy in Minnesota. He’s also in the first year of a five-year contract. Hopefully, you were able to pick up Gorgui Dieng. (06:46) 2) Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis will miss his second game in a row with a knee injury on Thursday night. Though the injury does not involve his surgically-repaired knee, there's still cause for concern. "There's no timetable," Rick Carlisle said on Tuesday. "We'll see." Maxi Kleber is worth a pickup while the Unicorn's status is up in the air. (10:54) 3) Andy and Dalton discuss first-half busts like Zion Williamson, Blake Griffin, and Mike Conley, and whether there's hope for a turnaround. (12:47) 4) The New York Knicks are a blistering 6-6 under new head coach Mike Miller, having won three straight. Julius Randle put up a monster game on Wednesday night: 22 points (8-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 13 REB, 3 AST, 3 threes, one steal, one block in Wednesday's win vs. the Blazers. Mitchell Robinson had his own big game with 11-11 FG, including a crazy alley-oop. (16:21) 5) We are theoretically in trade season, though nothing too exciting has happened yet. Dalton and Andy throw out some hypothetical trades that would benefit NBA and fantasy teams alike. (18:37) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Next up, Dalton runs through his pickups of the week, including Gorgui Dieng, Damion Lee, Alec Burks, Ky Bowman, and Jordan McRae. (22:08). And Andy and Dalton engage in some All-Decade talk. They give their picks for the all-decade first & second teams, as well as some awards we'd like to see, like best one-hit-wonder, biggest bust, best rookie season, and the biggest what ifs of the decade. Oklahoma City fans, you might want to skip that last one. (25:17) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week, some great writing on the career of David Stern, like David Aldridge’s obit on David Stern, along with Vincent Goodwill’s piece and Ben Rohrbach’s. Christmas fallout and the return of Victor Oladipo

12/26/2019
Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in a very special holiday edition of the fantasy basketball podcast. Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo is potentially returning late-January or early-February, per Woj. Even without the All-Star in the lineup, the Pacers are holding on to the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference thanks to the team's depth. Who will be impacted when he returns? (03:51) And in this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week centered around the big Christmas slate of games: 1) Lakers vs. Clippers: LeBron James and Anthony Davis both entered the game dealing with injuries and combined for 47 points. James went 23-9-10, but might have re-aggravated his injury. Other than Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers supporting cast were a bit of a no-show in the marquee matchup. On the Clippers side, Kawhi Leonard had 35 points on only 19 shots, and Patrick Beverley was dominant in crunch time without needing to score, tallying 9 rebounds, a block, a steal, and an impressive +26 in plus-minus. (08:14) 2) Bucks vs. Sixers: The Sixers' Joel Embiid (31-11) and Ben Simmons (15-7-14-3-2) both put up big games. Giannis was a relative dud compared to what we expect from the reigning MVP. His 18-14 stat line looks solid, but it came with 0/7 from 3 and a total of 19 missed shots which did not help the Bucks cause in the loss. (13:53) 3) Celtics vs. Raptors: The Raptors are dealing with injuries up front with Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol out. Chris Boucher picked up extra run and went 7-10, 3/4 from 3 with 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. His playing time has been unpredictable, but the injuries might make the Raptor a worthy pick-up for your fantasy team. (17:17) 4) Rockets vs. Warriors: James Harden and Russell Westbrook combined for a ho-hum 54 points. The Warriors new big four of D'Angelo Russell, Glenn Robinson III, Draymond Green and Damion Lee all put up 18+ points. Damion Lee had an especially big game with 22-15-4 and 3 steals. (20:04) 5) Pelicans vs. Nuggets: No news is bad news when it comes to Zion Williamson. Last week, VP David Griffin said the rookie is making progress but was still “a little ways away,” and now, the team is adjusting the way he runs. Meanwhile, Brandon Ingram continues to put up big stat lines in his contract year, putting up 31 points with 7 3's. And once rock steady contributor Paul Millsap was shut out. (24:15) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Next up, Dalton discusses some potential waiver wire adds to consider grabbing this week like Aaron Holiday. (29:56) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. Dealing with big injuries to MVP candidates

12/19/2019
Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. Last week, we briefly discussed Andy’s Chicago Bulls, who recently came back from 18 down to win in overtime against the Washington Wizards, so does this mean everyone rostering Lauri Markkanen (who went 31-and-9 in the win) can relax? (01:04) In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) With Luka Doncic currently dealing with a moderately sprained ankle, is Kristaps Porzingis ready to take on more of a leading role in Dallas? Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson has cleared 30 minutes in his last three games. (05:04) 2) Anthony Davis misses a game in Indiana, and he is questionable for tonight’s game in Milwaukee. Will Laker veterans Dwight Howard and Javale McGee step up? (06:51) 3) De’Aaron Fox is back which is going to scramble minutes and usage rates in Sacramento. Meanwhile, Fox looks plenty healthy. In his first game back, he literally jumped over a guy. (10:20) 4) Is Davis Bertans a) your 2019-2020 Most Improved Player or b) the next coming of Steph Curry? (12:56) 5) Hassan Whiteside cannot be stopped. Should owners ride the wave or look to sell high? (15:39) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] Next up, Andy and Dalton discuss the options available in Dalton’s latest pickups segment, including a returning Isaiah Thomas and the Miami Heat's cornucopia of productive wings. (18:36) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Forbes’ cover story on KD’s plan to be a buzillionaire. Happy holidays! Is there really no love for Kevin Love?

12/12/2019
Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast. To kick us off, Andy tells us about the Chicago Bulls’ GLORIOUS 34-point win over the Atlanta Hawks last night. Let’s move on. In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) There hasn't been much love for Kevin Love from fantasy managers. He's scored less than 10 points in 5 of his last 7 games. And now, the Cavalier is popping up in trade rumors. There might be a buying opportunity in fantasy if he ends up on a contender ... if a contender is willing to take on his hefty contract. (04:25) 2) Apologies to Knicks fans, even on this podcast you are not safe. Head Coach David Fizdale is gone but the Knicks are ... still the Knicks. Could we see the Knicks unleash their young players like RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson in the second half of the season? (8:39) 3) Devonte Graham dropped a 40-piece on the Brooklyn Nets last night with seven 3's. He's currently returning second-round value in 9-cat leagues over the full season. Can he keep it up? (11:50) 4) Marc Stein reports that we might not see Zion Williamson play in a game until 2020. Zion was previously ruled out of playing in any back-to-backs this season. Andy and Dalton tackle what managers should do if they are stashing the rookie on their teams. (15:01) 5) DeAndre Ayton and John Collins are soon to return from their PED suspensions. They might already be gone from your waiver wire, but their return might impact other players on your team. Will early-season surprise Aron Baynes still be worth rostering when Ayton returns? Can Jabari Parker continue his renaissance year when Collins comes back to Atlanta? (19:57) [Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM: Deposit $10, Get $100 in Free Bets. NJ only. 21+. Terms apply] And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: past pod guest Ricky O’Donnell on Ja Morant and his stellar highlight-reel this season. Plus, the second season of Posted Up debuts this week. Yahoo's Chris Haynes chats with CJ McCollum about his life, his career, the Blazers' slow start to the 2019 season and adding Carmelo Anthony to the team. What's wrong with Nikola Jokic and Andre Drummond keeps rolling

12/5/2019
Andy Behrens and Dalton Del Don are back to discuss all things NBA in the latest fantasy basketball podcast — and this is our 10th episode! Before we get into it, here’s your weekly mention of Carmelo Anthony: He’s up to 71% rostered in Yahoo leagues, and was awarded your NBA Western Conference Player of the Week. (02:19) But let’s move on. In this week’s Starting Five, Andy and Dalton run down the five biggest storylines of the fantasy week: 1) Nikola Jokic has been disappointing this year. He came into the season with an ADP around 6 on Yahoo. Currently ranked 45 in 9-cat on Basketball Monster. Worth buying low or nah? (05:09) 2) Rajon Rondo put up a near triple-double against the Jazz on Wednesday night, with a stat line of 14/9/12. Andy and Dalton talk about why Rondo could be worth a grab for fantasy owners dealing with point guard injuries. (09:46) 3) Andre Drummond is rolling: averaging 17/17 with a suddenly palatable 62 FT%. He was merely one assist away from the mythical 5x5 — logging at least 5 points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks — on Tuesday. (11:59) 4) Ja Morant is “week-to-week” with back spasms. Backup PG Tyus Jones has not exactly set the world on fire but De’Anthony Melton played well on Wednesday. (16:24) 5) The Washington Wizards league-high pace is paying off for managers who’ve picked up players like Isaiah Thomas and Mo Wagner. (19:04) Next up, Andy and Dalton are joined by Kyle McKeown from Basketball Monster. The trio go over James Harden’s historic and maybe even a little underrated season (22:29), what to do about Zion Williamson (30:53), and whether Andrew Wiggins can keep up his career year. (35:24) And we wrap up the show with In Case You Missed It. ICYMI this week: Announcers gone wild. First, Atlanta Hawks announcers were not happy with James Harden being upset on the bench during a blow out when Harden realized he was two points away from a career-high. Then, the Utah Jazz commentary team complained about a shoeless LeBron James on the court cheering on teammates on the defensive end.
