January 2013, Yuba City, CA. In a small town north of Sacramento, CA, 94-year old Leola Shreves was found dead in her home by her son-in-law. Windows were broken and Leola had been badly beaten. After only a few months, police arrested and obtained a confession from Leola’s neighbor, Michael Alexander. Ultimately the charges against Alexander were dropped after DNA evidence vindicated him from the false confession. On July 20, 2020, Grant Solomon was struck by his own truck and killed. The only witness to Grant’s death was his father, Aaron Solomon. On January 31st, 2011 Johnny Clarke and Lisa Straub were found dead inside Lisa’s home. Their hands were bound, and plastic bags were taped over their heads. The murder was carefully planned, and the house was ransacked in such a way that it seemed like the intruders were looking for something specific. The couple had many friends, most of which were involved in some kind of criminal activity. One person was charged in this case, but DNA from multiple unknown people was found at the crime scene. September 28th, 2017. Lexington, Kentucky. Carol Ann Hignite called 911 to report that her husband had fallen three days earlier and hit his head. May 19th, 1991, Castlerock, Northern Ireland. On May 19th, 1991 Lesley Howell and Trevor Buchanan were found dead in a vehicle inside her father’s garage. Their cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning, and investigators believed they died in a suicide pact after they found out about an affair between their respective spouses. March 29th, 2019. Columbia, South Carolina. Samantha Josephson was spending the evening with her friends celebrating her recent acceptance into Drexel University School of Law and her upcoming graduation from University of South Carolina. Her long-term boyfriend was going to be moving to Columbia to live with her during law school. She had been texting her boyfriend all through the night and told him that she was getting an Uber ride home around 2 a.m. on March 29th. Samantha never made it to her apartment; her driver actually went the opposite direction. This driver wasn’t her Uber driver, it was a man that had been driving around the area hunting for a victim.
